Raquel Vélez is the Founder and CEO of Alpine Parrot, an outdoor apparel company for plus size women. After almost two decades of engineering experience ranging from robotics engineering to software engineering and management, she's now creatively tackling one of the oldest (and most polluting) industries by creating sustainable, inclusive clothing for a market of people who have so often been neglected in the outdoor space. Raquel's voice can often be heard in her speaking and writing, regularly speaking at conferences around the world and sharing her thoughts online at rckbt.me.
